The founder of Backroad Encore grew up in Brooklyn — a long way from country music’s heartland — but discovered a deep love for the music on long car trips through the South and West. Somewhere between dusty highways with one radio station and the wide-open landscapes, the stories and sounds of country music started to feel like home.
For years, there were songs in the making — real thoughts, honest emotions, and sharp observations — but not the means to turn those rough sketches into something more. That changed with the arrival of new technologies that opened the door to creation without compromise.
Today, Backroad Encore captures that vision: music that’s grounded, reflective, and shaped by lived experience. It’s not about polish or perfection — it’s about communicating a story and telling the truth.
